Guru Nanak Dev Ji : Light of all humanity
In 1913, Punjab Historical Society Lahore organized a meeting on the benevolence of Guru Nanak Dev. This meeting was headed by the English governor of Panjab. In this, many scholars belonging to Sikhism, Hinduism, Islam and Christianity participated. When the Sikh scholar Sr. Joginder Singh shed light on the divine life of Guru Nanak Dev, then a big leader of the Hindus Ram Sharan Das said that Guru Nanak Dev was a great reformer of Hindu religion.
Nawab Zulfi Ali Khan of Malerkotla said that he disagreed with it. Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj was a great Muslim fakir. The low caste Muslim Bhai Mardana always used to remain in the service of Guru Ji. His former discipline Rai Bulaar was also a Muslim. The Christian governor said in his lecture that he agreed with non of them. He said that he has read the writings of Guru Nanak Devji and on the basis of this study, he can say that Guru Nanak Dev was a great Christian saint.
From this, it is clear that Guru Nanak Dev’s divine teachings are for the whole humanity.
